We have 5 new sister missionaries which arrived yesterday. Three Canadians are waiting for visas so that they can serve in the states--Idaho, Arizona and Georgia (and who we selfishly would like to keep!). Two are Americans who we will get to have for their entire missions. We are so grateful to have these great missionaries and know they will contribute much to the Mission.
Over 50 missionaries participated in the first Missionary Leadership Training since we arrived last July. The Training consisted of two days of instruction. Our wonderful senior couples helped with training, food, and video recording. Our entire mission presidency attended the conference and helped with training as well.
We recognize that in the Church sometimes we are called on to be leaders and sometimes we are asked to be followers. Those rolls change during our church service, and we should be good in both roles. The CHM missionaries are great leaders, and we believe they will be great followers when it comes time for others to take the lead.
