We sent off our amazing Welsh Elder and three fabulous Sisters who were great mission leaders. We owe them each a debt of gratitude for the difference they made in the mission and in our own lives. We spent a great evening together hearing their testimonies and discussing what they are looking forward to in the future--including what favorite foods they will eat first when they arrive home:). They've been a joy to serve with and will surely be missed.

We had another early morning arrival as the missionaries weren't able to clear customs and get their visas in time to make their flight from Toronto to Halifax. That makes for some pretty tired missionaries. But, they arrived intact and in good spirts. We are already seeing how much they have changed in a month, and we are very excited to have them here in the CHM.
Thanks to all you parents who are so willing to see your sons and daughters serve. They are truly blessing the people here, the other missionaries, and all those they come in contact with. We had a couple of days where we were able to see some of the sights in Newfoundland. We saw several icebergs and a few puffins. Puffins and icebergs were on our bucket list, so it made us really happy. Thought you might be interested in seeing a little bit of what has become ordinary to your missionaries serving in Newfoundland.
Each transfer we have a Mission Leadership Council where we bring all zone leaders and sister training leaders together for training. We did some great interactive teaching training. This meeting was unique because we ended with a testimony meeting. It is so encouraging to see the youth of the Church stepping up to become great leaders. The Church is in good hands with these impressive young people. We feel very blessed to be able to associate with them.
