The Edmonston Branch, New Brunswick Stake was created October 15, 2017. Missionaries opened the area in August, 2016. Brother Samuel Gionet was called as the Branch President. It's an exciting time of growth for the Church in the area.

Twice a year we have a leadership conference. This conference had a fire theme. We as a mission are Catching Fire. We can see the momentum building, and our missionaries are working harder than ever. We are grateful for their efforts and how they are blessing the lives of all they come in contact with.
We recently had our French Temple Trip. All the French missionaries were able to come to the Metro to attend the temple. This trip included a special guest--Sister Leroy who was here to pick up Elder Leroy from his mission. The missionaries loved being together. It was a great evening and included Belge Chocolate--need I say more?!
Elder Larson (after extending for a few weeks) went home this week. It was difficult to see him leave as he has shared great insights and talents that have benefitted the mission as well as been a great example of excellence in his missionary work. We wish him the best in all his future endeavors.
Our August Zone Conferences are over and done. Time is flying, and we had great zone conferences. We focused on some of the miracles we have seen in the mission. It was exciting to see the remarkable new members who have accepted the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It was very encouraging. Here are a few photos of the events. (Nova Scotia top, New Brunswick middle, and Newfoundland bottom.)
I know I say this every time, but it was really difficult saying goodbye to these wonderful missionaries. They blessed our mission with their leadership and insights.
Five new missionaries arrived in August. They are already making fast progress and are going to be great. Looking forward to getting to know them better.
We just started additional training for our new missionaries. We will be having this training every 12 weeks. We felt like the training the missionaries received the 1st day they arrive is not adequate. They are too tired and overwhelmed to absorb much. The training was amazing, and we fill this will really make a difference for the new missionaries and the mission.
We had our Mission Leadership Council meetings in Moncton, New Brunswick. We had lots of great training. One object lesson including changing a baby's diaper which Elder Kearsley performed very well.
